Vincenti Restaurant

Maureen Vincenti began her career in the restaurant industry with her late husband Mauro Vincenti. Mauro was the pioneering owner of Rex il Ristorante in downtown Los Angeles, and for nearly 20 years was one of the city's most passionate and knowledgeable champions of Italian cuisine. Mauro had a keen sense of aesthetics, both on and off the plate and helped introduce Los Angeles to contemporary Italian cooking. When he passed away in 1996 Maureen closed the Rex and moved to Brentwood to open Vincenti bringing with her Gino Angelini and Nicola Mastronardi, both of whom Mauro discovered in Rimini Italy. When Gino Angelini left to open his Osteria, Nicola became the Executive Chef at Vincenti and has since received rave reviews from both Jonathan Gold and S. Irene Virbila.

The restaurant continues to receive consistent recognition by Jonathan Gold for his annual Gold List, and Los Angeles Magazine for Best Restaurant. Other successes include Zagat annual ratings, and most recently, Vincenti Ristorante was voted one of America's 50 best Italian restaurants by The Daily Meal.
